ORNITHOLOGY INTERESTED

Birdwatchers or "Birders" flock to the area to search out the beautiful, rare and sometimes elusive friends of flight.

Minutes away from the Madera Canyon, if you ask we'll share the secret shortcut, where the likes of Stellar's Jays, Montezuma Quail, red tailed hawks, Golden Eagle, Prairie and Perigrine  Falcons and, not to be forgotten, several types of owls. Too many to list but our birders always leave happily sharing their rare finds with us.

We adore watching the beautiful hummingbirds of varying colors that are friendly!

HIKING, MOUNTAIN BIKING & CYCLING

Captain of the Tubac Presidio, Juan Batista de Anza blazed the Anza trail found in Tubac. Learn the interesting history of the California-Arizona trail before hiking the 4 mile trek starting in neighboring Tubac. Equestrian and hikers only on this historic hike. Coronado National Forest will not disappoint as it boasts 76 trails!  That's over 1,000 miles of trails for hikers, equestrians and mountain bikers.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

We love our friends and families here at Mountain View. Chances to socialize with our repeat offender regulars, new friends and year rounders are plenty with Chili Fridays, Potlucks, Karaoke, Community Campfire Sing a longs and we'll have a few new additions to the fun festivities this year.
